Remote math coaching

Math isn't magic, it's consistency.

Math skills aren't built with tricks or cheat codes. They're built with sustained, consistent practice — and the right support at the right time. Whether you're a parent, a student, or an adult coming back to math, that's what GMT does, online, from anywhere.

One foundation, every goal

Catching up, getting ahead, better grades — it's all the same work.

Some students come to us behind and need to catch up. Some are doing fine and want to get genuinely ahead. Some just need a grade to move the right direction this semester.

Here's what we've learned: those are what real skill produces. They're the effects. The skill is the cause. We build the cause, and the rest follows — which is why our students don't just get a better score this month. They stop needing to be rescued at all.

The real problem

It usually isn't confidence.

Much has been made of student confidence in math. But what often shows up as an aptitude problem is really a confidence problem — and underneath that isn't an inability to do math. It's a lack of structure: a missing skill, a gap in understanding, that quietly compounds over time.

Fill the gaps, and the confidence takes care of itself. Math is a skill, like hitting a baseball or writing software — built on a strong foundation and consistent practice. People who struggle aren't lacking talent. They're usually missing one or two foundational pieces everything else is supposed to stand on.

How it works

A clear path, with no one left to drift.

01

We find the gaps

Everyone starts with an assessment, so we know exactly where you're strong, where you're shaky, and what's holding you back.

02

We build the plan

A structured curriculum matched to your actual skill level — not the grade on paper.

03

We coach, in small groups

Two live sessions a week, online, in groups of no more than four — small enough that no one hides. Prefer to go solo? One-on-one is available too.

04

We track everything

Weekly updates show exactly where you are, how close you are to your goals, and where you're struggling and succeeding.

05

We don't let anyone drift

We monitor progress closely. If a student slips by even a day or two, we step in — before a small gap becomes a big one.

Pricing

Simple, month to month, no contracts.

Where most students do best

Group coaching

Our flagship.

$200 / month
  • Small groups of up to 4 students
  • Two live online sessions a week ($25 each)
  • Online platform for homework and practice
  • Weekly progress reports
  • Active monitoring, with early intervention if anyone slips

One-on-one

Available, never required.

$100 / session
  • Fully dedicated live time with a coach
  • Same curriculum and structure as the group
  • Book it ongoing, or à la carte when you need it
  • Group students can add a single session anytime — no need to leave your group
Why most people choose the group: hour for hour, the value is the same. A one-on-one hour and a group hour deliver the same coaching — the group just shares it, which keeps it affordable. For most students, steady twice-a-week practice alongside a few peers is exactly the structure that builds skill.

Refer a friend

Know someone who'd thrive here? You both save.

Math sticks better with company. So when you refer someone and they complete their first month, you both get $50 off your next month — applied automatically as account credit.

There's no limit. Send enough friends and you could fill a whole group — and watch your own bill shrink while you do it. Just have them enter your code when they book their assessment. We'll handle the rest.

FAQ

The honest answers.

Is this in person or online?+
Fully remote. All sessions are live and online, and homework and practice live on our platform — so you can work with us from anywhere.
How often are the sessions?+
Twice a week. Groups run with up to four students; one-on-one is available too. Independent practice happens on our platform between sessions.
How much does it cost?+
Group coaching is $200/month — two sessions a week at $25 each. One-on-one is $100/session, booked ongoing or à la carte. Month to month, no contracts.
Can I do one-on-one instead of a group?+
Yes — as your main format or as a one-off, like before a big test or to clear a specific gap. Group students can add a session without leaving their group.
What ages or levels do you work with?+
Grades 6–12 and adults coming back to math. We cover Algebra Prep & Remediation, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and SAT prep.
I (or my kid) am "just bad at math." Can you help?+
Almost always, yes. "Bad at math" is usually a stack of small, fixable gaps wearing a confidence problem on top. We find the gaps and fill them.
How does the referral program work?+
When someone you refer completes their first month, you both get $50 off your next month, as account credit. No limit on how many friends you refer.
